Large Facility Monthly Unit Emergency Lighting Log (Canada) Mobile App
The Large Facility Monthly Unit Emergency Lighting Log is an app that allows inspectors or individuals to perform a regular, monthly check on emergency lighting in a facility.
How does it work?
Emergency lighting systems serve an important role in a disaster as they provide sufficient exit lighting for building occupants to be able to locate a means of egress. Emergency escape lighting typically identifies exit signs with verbage indicating a close-by exit, as well as providing flood lighting to ensure that sufficient light is available for people to be aware of their surroundings. This form allows an inspector to check the following: (1) that normal power is run to the lighting system; (2) that batteries are in working order; (3) that lamps illuminate correctly; and (4) that these lights turn off during a power failure or emergency.
