This contract allows the home watch or home management company and/or its agents to enter a property, inspect it for problems, and make sure thermostats/humidistats are properly set. For rental units, this service can help to ensure that it is the real estate owner is protected from tenant holdovers, or unruly tenants that have left an unclean property, a thermostat set too low, or water running upon departure. The terms of this agreement indicate the services performed, the cost of the services, and identify the home owner as the responsible party in the event that any repairs need to be performed. Property owners that have a vacation home that is not frequently visited also benefit form this service by ensuring the home is regularly entered and inspected for leaks, or other problems that may arise when property is unattended.
