MOT Inspection Manual Class 3,4,5 &7 (UK): Steering System Mobile App
How does it work?
The MOT Inspection Manual Class 3,4,5 &7 (UK): Steering System mobile app sets out the MOT testing procedures and standards for those who carry out Steering System statutory testing of cars, private buses and light commercial vehicles. Vehicle owners may also find the app useful because it details the Steering System Inspection to which vehicles are subjected and the reasons why a MOT test certificate could be refused. Each vehicle must be registered for MOT testing by the NT at the commencement of the test. This will normally be done via the MOT Testing Centre. The only exception to this is when motor vehicle testing using CT procedures. The MOT Inspection Steering System mobile app is written on the assumption that the inspection will be carried out by a qualified NT, with an assistant working under their direction, unless using an approved ATL or OPTL where the use of an assistant is not mandatory. It should be read in conjunction with all current Special Notices relevant to the class of vehicle under test. This apps inspection is specific to Steering System.
