The Hauling Subcontractor Request for Time Extension Due to Severe Weather mobile app allows project managers, general contractors and hauling subcontractors to complete a paperless contractor or subcontractor extension of time due to inclement weather and request an extension of time due to a construction delay caused by a force majeure event outside of general contractor and hauling subcontractor's control. The app generates an extension of time letter that includes date of delay claim, addressee, request for an extension of time, contract time, contract number, name of designated hauling subcontractor representative, details of the encountered unforeseeable and unusually severe inclement weather which has delayed contractor and performance of the hauling subcontractor work, stating that the excusable delay is beyond the hauling subcontractor's control, and without fault or negligence of the construction projects general contractor or subcontractor. The letter states duration of delay, delay damages, cost, cost savings and encloses charts of inclement weather conditions provided by the Weather Bureau. The app allows the hauling subcontractor’s project manager to sign the letter. The app generates a PDF that is easily emailed and stored for the project manager, general contractor or subcontractor’s records.
