An individual might lose his or her appetite or the ability to evaluate if food is too hot or too cold. In addition, an individual might forget that he or she has eaten and ask you for another meal. The individual may be experiencing physical difficulties that are causing the changes in eating habits. Sores in the mouth, poor-fitting dentures, gum disease or dry mouth may make eating difficult. To ensure the individual with dementia is receiving the proper nutrition you must work to prevent eating and nutrition problems. Consult with the individual’s physician and/or dietitian for guidance. The tips in the Alzheimer’s and Dementia: Nutrition mobile app will help you keep them eating properly.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
