HSE Construction: Vibration (UK) Mobile App
The HSE Construction and Vibration (UK) mobile was designed for small contractors in the United Kingdom, but can be used by anyone who manages construction sites.
How does it work?
Easily accessible from any smartphone or tablet, the app helps protect the health and safety of workers who utilize power tools that produce excessive noise and vibration.
Harm-arm vibration exposure is a potentially dangerous part of working in the construction industry. Vibration damage, including carpal tunnel syndrome and Reynaud's phenomenon, can occur after the improper use of vibrating power tools such as jackhammers, vibrating oscillators and sanding equipment. This helpful checklist covers several areas of safe vibrating tool use, including setting exposure limits, reducing blast vibrations and using personal protective equipment. Once the risk assessment is completed, the results are saved automatically for your records.
