How does it work?
Create detailed inspection reports covering any damage or defects to the shipments being received, in a time-efficient, consistent manner.
The Receiving and Damage mobile app can be helpful for warehouse employees who receive shipments, as well as those specializing in incoming inspections of goods.
The inspection team should document any damage to the structural integrity, such as impact damage, water damage or damage from rodents. Perform a thorough visual inspection of the goods. All findings should be duly noted by the inspection team in the inspection report.
The inspection report should also include details about protective measures performed during transit. Use the barcode scanning option to associate the shipment with the correlating inspection report.
This convenient mobile app can be accessed by any desktop or mobile device. For example, upon delivery, the inspection team can open up the Transportation Receiving Inspections mobile app on a smartphone to fill it details about the condition of the goods out in just minutes. This allows employees to fill out digital versions of the paperwork on site, rather than having to go back to a desk and complete paperwork at a later time.
Upon submission, the Receiving and Damage mobile app generates a PDF which is automatically saved to the GoCanvas Cloud. From there the PDFs can be easily shared. You may need to send a copy of the PDF to managers in the receiving department, the shipper and/or the freight company to show the damage.
