CBP Form 7553 Instructions - Notice of Intent to Export, Destroy or Return Merchandise for Purposes Mobile App
The Notice of Intent to Export, Destroy or Return Merchandise for Purposes of Drawback mobile app is an electronic replacement to CBP form 7552.
How does it work?
When a seller submits a drawback claim, it means that they are applying for a refund of the amounts paid to custom and border protection to import the items. Drawback claims are submitted as form petitions, and are used when the goods are being exported or destroyed and they are subject to the custom review process.
Instead of using paper forms when submitting a drawback claim waiver request, the easy to use app submits the inventory record, documentary evidence and other form declaration details electronically using a smartphone or tablet. The cargo manifest and notice of intent app helps with paperwork reduction and makes it easier for officials to complete a custom review of your request. The drawback cargo manifest app also creates an electronic copy of the import or export shipment details that can be emailed or saved for your records.
