Annually each school receiving Title I, Part A funds must certify that all appropriate teachers (in Title I-supported programs and all core-subject teachers in the school) and all instructional paraprofessionals working in Title I-supported programs meet the requirement of being Highly Qualified as defined in Section 9101 (23) and Section 1119(c) of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (P.L. 107-110). Upon review of appropriate records the principle can attest to the criteria being met by the teacher. Verification must be maintained at the school and the district office and, be made available to the public, upon request.
