Submitted Data in Your Auto-Generated Email

To make this change, open up the app in the GoCanvas App Builder and navigate to the field you wish to add to the auto-generated email. Open the details screen for that field and click the “Advanced” drop down. You will see the three options near the bottom of the list. Select whichever option you wish to have populated with the data collected in that field:

Example: You have a field for the type of inspection being done that you’d like to include in the subject line of the email.

Open the field in the GoCanvas App Builder and click “Advanced”. Then check the box next to “Auto Email Subject” and click “Done”. Be sure to save and publish the app before exiting!  Now, when you send the email to your clients and back office they will see the type of inspection in the subject field.

The same is true for the other options:

Auto Email Body - The body of the GoCanvas generated email will be populated with the data collected in the specified field.

Auto Email File Name - The name of the GoCanvas generated .PDF will be populated with the data collected in the specified field.
