This is a bitter sweet release for us here at GoCanvas. We are saying farewell to “Canvas Classic”, our original App Builder. This is the tool we launched the company with back in 2009. She has served us well over the years but the time has come to bid her farewell.

GoCanvas Classic

We will be turning off GoCanvas Classic for all users on April 3, 2017. For those of you still clinging to the past, this means it will no longer be available in the “Quick Links” menu from the My Apps page. The new App Builder gives you the ability to copy fields and screens, edit and update reference data, and other enhancements not available in GoCanvas Classic.

Some of you have been using our Grid functionality for a long time now.  It has been in beta for quite a long time. But to most of you it will be new.  Grid gives you the ability to view your Loop screens on your device as a Grid instead of how Loop screens look today.

Check it out on an iPad!

You'll find a new Style option in the App Builder under your screen settings where you can enable Grid for your Loop screens. It also must be enabled by your user on his/her mobile device. This is found under the Settings menu inside the GoCanvas app on mobile. This allows your users to toggle it on or off based on their preferences.
