Premier Convenience Store Chain Replaces Paper with GoCanvas on iOS Devices

The facilities maintenance division of a regional chain of convenience stores based in Framingham, Massachusettes has put down paper and pen in favor of iPhones and iPads equipped with GoCanvas Mobile Apps.

The company operates roughly 600 retail stores, gas stations, and a support system including petroleum and grocery distribution operations in 11 states and maintaining such an expansive organization was becoming too paper intensive to be efficient.

The company has since converted 10 paper-based processes into GoCanvas apps that they either built from scratch in the GoCanvas App Builder or modified from templates in the Application Store. The apps vary greatly in purpose and include flagging equipment issues, tracking inventory, documenting payroll adjustments, submitting voluntary meal waivers, and even requesting vacation time.

Formerly the company used paper to document many of these processes, but by leveraging the GoCanvas API they’ve been able to integrate GoCanvas with their backend system, eliminating redundant data entry and the inefficiencies involved with paper, or worse, no documentation.
