Martin Denny of Safety-Link Consulting, Ltd was recently recognized for his innovative use of transforming paper-based safety inspections into mobile apps. The Northern Ireland Area of the Institute of Water (NIW) introduced an annual innovation competition this year for all sectors of the water industry in Northern Ireland. Martin, a safety consultant to businesses, educational institutions and hospitals for the last 15 years, entered the competition to show safety consultants in Ireland and globally a much more efficient way to capture and share critical safety information by using GoCanvas mobile apps. Martin’s Application Store, Safety-Link Consulting, Ltd. on GoCanvas.com has over 50 safety-oriented apps such as Site Safety Inspection Reports, Construction Safety Inspection Reports, specialized safety apps like Crane Safety Inspections and much more.
The NIW panel judges loved Martin’s innovative approach and the international collaboration with GoCanvas, which developed the safety apps. Health and Safety should be at the core of every organization and this entry showed how modern technology can be used to simplify the process of reporting on health and safety. The panel also liked the flexibility which the apps provide and the way they had been developed for a commercial market. To quote the NIW judges “There is little doubt that this application will have wide-scale benefits and this is an excellent opportunity to create jobs. Well done Martin.”
The NIW was so impressed with Martin’s apps, that they asked him to present his safety apps to their own safety inspectors.
All of us at GoCanvas extend our congratulations to Martin Denny and Safety-Linkhealth Consulting for a job well done!
