The GoCanvas team is proud to announce that today we have released version 2.8.0 of GoCanvas. With this new release we have added some feature improvements and a number of bug fixes to make it easier to go paperless by replacing paper based forms with your BlackBerry, Windows Mobile or Android device.
In past releases, GoCanvas supported the ability to hide or display screens based upon a single condition – for example, whether or not a checkbox was checked. With 2.8.0 of GoCanvas, we support the ability to hide or display a screen based upon multiple screen conditions. For example, you can now hide or show a screen based upon whether a check box is checked in addition to a text field equaling a certain value. This new feature works across all of the devices we support – BlackBerry, Android and Windows Mobile (iPhone and iPad coming soon!).
With 2.8.0 of GoCanvas, time calculation has now been improved to handle the calculation crossing midnight. So, if you are building a timesheet and your start time is 20:00 (8:00 PM) and your end time is 02:00 (2:00 a.m.) – the delta will now correctly take into account midnight and calculate the difference as being 6 hours.
With 2.8.0 of GoCanvas, we have improved the way BlackBerry devices synchronize queued submissions coming from the device. In addition, the BlackBerry version of GoCanvas has been updated to better handling error conditions and password issues with regards to queued submissions.
With 2.8.0 of GoCanvas, we have improved the way the BlackBerry version of GoCanvas determines the optimal connection method without any user intervention.
With 2.8.0 of GoCanvas, we have improved our stability on the Android to better handle memory management issues.
