Screen Properties

Each screen type has different properties that can be configured. These properties can change how the user is allowed to interact with the screen on their device. Below are the different properties that are currently available:

Allow Duplicate Entries- This property is used to allow list screens to have more than one identical item in the list. This property can be set for List (Advanced) or List (Simple) screens.

Hide Detailed Descriptions on Output- This property is used to hide Details for the screen. This property can only be set for List (Simple) screens. See below for an example. The first list screen still shows the details and the second list screen has hide detailed descriptions enabled.

List Details

List Style- This property is used to determined how you want your list styled. Below are the options available and what they do:

  • Standard List- This screen will appear like a normal list screen. 

  • Grid- This will be a screen with your fields displayed in a grid. This style can only be seen on tablet devices. If you are on a phone then they will appear as a standard list.

  • Grid (pre-populated)- This screen will be the same as a Grid, only the first field will pre-populated. This style can only be seen on tablet devices. If you are on a phone then they will appear as a standard list. (Note: It will only pre-populate the first 25 items and if the first field is a Value List)

Page Break After- This property is used to start a new page after a screen. The new page will only be inserted on submission saved as a PDF. This property can be set for Labels Above, Labels Left, and List (Simple) screens.

PDF Visible- This property is used to set when a screen can be seen on the PDF of a returned submission. This property can be set for all screen types. Below are the options available and their meanings: 

  • Always - this field will always be displayed on the PDF
  • Never - this field will never be displayed on the PDF
  • If value present (value is not blank) - this field will be displayed on the PDF  if the user entered a value for it
  • If value changed (value is not default) - this field will be displayed on the PDF if the user changed it from the default value - 
  • If value present and value changed - this field will be displayed in the PDF if the user changed it and it is not blank .
  • Web-Specified Emails Only - The field will only show up on the PDF sent to addresses specified on the website in the Email Options area.  Here is a HELP topic on how to specify email addresses that your PDFs will always be sent to each time someone fills one out. 

Show Screen Name on Output- This property is used to set whether the screen name will be displayed on a returned submission. This property can be set for all screen types.

Web Visible- This property is used to set when a screen can be seen on the web version of a PDF of a returned submission. This property can be set for all screen types. Below are the options available and their meanings: 

  • Always - this field will always be displayed on the web view
  • Never - this field will never be displayed on the web view
  • If value present (value is not blank) - this field will be displayed on the web view if the user entered a value for it
  • If value changed (value is not default) - this field will be displayed on the web view if the user changed it from the default value - 
  • If value present and value changed - this field will be displayed in the web view if the user changed it and it is not blank .
