Canvas Completes Initial Round of Funding

Capital to support launch of mobile solution to replace paper forms and surveys using a rapid, self serve, economical approach.

Herndon, VA – March 3, 2009 – Canvas, which provides a simple way for users to replace costly paper based forms and surveys using the power of everyday mobile devices, announced today it has successfully completed its initial round of funding.

The funding secured from an international capital firm will be used to launch the latest version of the Canvas platform. Version 1.5 of the Canvas platform will allow an expansion of supported mobile devices, as well as launching the Canvas forms and survey creation tool to a broad community of clients. Future capital investments will finance additional marketing efforts to accelerate interest from potential customers and partners. The next formal round of funding is expected to close in late 2009.

Canvas subscribers use their phones to collect data in a simple form or survey fashion and do so in a manner in which takes full advantage of the unique data collection capabilities that are available on today’s modern handsets. Canvas brings powerful Web 2.0 capabilities and wireless technology together to provide an environment where users can define and deploy their own forms and surveys to mobile devices. The Canvas subscription based service also allows users to review results and integrate this own data to their own systems – but integration is not necessary to get the full value of Canvas. By providing a generic tool that can be tailored to any need, Canvas can be used by a wide variety of organizations and prosumers who are looking to save money spent on paperwork.
