Add a Signature Screen

If we are publishing our app to a Smartphone with a touch screen, we may want to capture a signature. A signature let's us review the terms of the order with our customer and confirm their acceptance.

Let's add a new screen called "Order Acceptance". If we make it a Labels Above layout, the Signature field will be active in our Palette.

Now let's drag a Signature field from the palette. It works the same as any electronic signature you write for your credit card at a store. The mobile user will see a blank screen with a box. Canvas will take a picture of anything the customer writes in the box.

Drawing fields are pretty much the same as Signature fields. If this were an order for new carpet installation, the sales person might want to sketch the dimensions of the room, then have the customer sign for acceptance. Each screen only has enough room for one signature or one drawing, so we would need to add another screen for the carpet sales person.

We can only add one other field to this screen, so let's add some static text to summarize the terms of the order.
