Using Your Data

Our Reference Data feature is used for two purposes:

Populate a Value List (Drop-Down) – Instead of entering a list of choices by hand, you can populate your drop down options all at once.
Auto-Populate Fields – If you want to autofill a field based on a value you enter in a previous field. This saves your users tons of time out in the field.

This feature is ideal for lists of:

• customers
• products
• pricing
• accounting codes
• any other data specific to your business.

You can set up these lists by importing comma separated value (also called CSV) files or using GoCanvas web services.

This video will walk you through the entire process of using Reference Data. It will show you how to populate a Value List and also auto-populate subsequent fields in your GoCanvas App.
