James Quigley

Jim is an award winning mobile and wireless solution executive with an extensive background in wireless start-up ventures. Most recently, Jim was V.P and Managing Director of the Enterprise Wireless Solutions Division at inCode Wireless then acquired by VeriSign. While at VeriSign, Jim and his team were honored with the prestigious Motorola Wireless Solution of the Year Award for a mobile application that tracked deadly global pandemics. Prior to VeriSign, Jim held leadership roles within other prominent wireless start-ups including Aether Systems, Orbcomm, and Peak Technologies (formerly a division of R.R. Donnelley). During this time period, Jim was named one of the top 20 global executives in his field by the World Supply Chain Forum and Chief Logistics Officer Magazine, nominated by industry peers and awarded for his work in wirelessly enabling some of the largest enterprise organizations. Jim has also held management roles within United Technologies and Transamerica Finance.  Jim sits on the advisory board of LetsGiveBack.org

Jim is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy (B.S. Marine Engineering) and a former U.S. Naval Officer.

Joe Baldwin

Mobile App Support Representative

Joe Baldwin

Joe is Canvas's Mobile App Support Representative responsible for working with current and trial subscribers providing technical support as well as ongoing quality assurance for new app releases. Joe most recently was a Software Product Specialist at Cobalt. Prior to that Joe worked at the Department of Justice providing technical support for users in the Civil and Civil Rights divisions. Joe is also very proud of his two terms with AmeriCorps, most notably supporting the American Red Cross and working with high risk youths in New Orleans, LA.

Joe is a graduate of of Virginia Commonwealth University (B.S. in Sociology)

Michael Benedict

Vice President – Application Store

Michael Benedict

Michael is VP of Canvas's Application Store. He is responsible for building the Application Store's Content as well as managing Canvas's content marketing and aquisition strategy. Michael brings over 18 years of marketing experience to Canvas, with a specialization in the Small and Mid-Sized Business segment. Prior to Canvas, Michael held leadership positions in marketing strategy and product management, having served as Marketing Director for the Deluxe Corporation's Construction and Retail Markets. He was also the Product Manager for 24 Product Lines, including the company's Business Forms, where he implemented Deluxe's diversification into Mobile Forms. He has developed and implemented successful marketing programs targeting specific markets, new business startups and high value customer segments. He is also certified in Six Sigma. He has held positions in other organizations including NEBS, Inc., The Franklin Mint and Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.

Michael is a graduate of Southern Methodist University (B.A., Economics) as well as the Thunderbird School of Global Management (MIM).

James Braun

Web Based Customer Experience

James Braun

James is part of our Customer Experience Development Team responsible for the design and implementation of our Ruby on Rails platform. James has 11 years of software development experience, the last 8 of which were with General Dynamics. He has worked on a diverse array of projects including a satellite mission planning system, GIS analysis tools, and a cyber-security information sharing platform.

James is a graduate of Bucknell University (B.S. Computer Engineering)

Joe Gatto

V.P. Channel Sales & Business Development

Joe Gatto

Joe is Canvas's VP of Channel Sales & Business Development responsible for driving and developing our larger partner network including Canvas's relationships with major device and wireless carriers.  Joe is a mobile and wireless veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the mobile enterprise and mobile content space. Prior to Canvas, Joe held leadership positions in sales, business development, and international partnerships having served as VP of Sales & Distribution at SkyZone Mobile (an SK Group Company) where he also conceived of and was executive producer for the popular mobile game Dogtown:Old School Skater, VP of Business Development & Alliances at Aether Systems, and various technical, sales and management positions with SkyTel Communications. Joe has managed both direct and indirect sales teams and has successfully established significant reseller relationships with large online retailers, global device manufactures, systems integrators, and boutique consultancies. Joe has also held roles within VetCentric and VIDITalk Corporation.

Jason Good

Director, Customer Development

Jason Good

Jason is Canvas's Director of Customer Development joining Canvas to build an industry-leading customer development organization to meet the needs of Canvas's customers and all of the organizations out there seeking to leverage the power of their mobile devices. He brings over 18 years of sales experience with 11 of them spent managing and motivating teams of salespeople. Jason spent 5 years with PSINet as an individual contributor and a sales manager providing Internet connectivity, security, and managed hosting solutions. He then held many sales leadership positions with Jupiterimages, one of the largest online resources for stock photography, culminating in running their nearly 50-person North American sales organization prior to the company being acquired by Getty Images. He also served as the Director of the Inside Sales organization at ESI International, one of the global leaders in project management training and consulting.

Jason is a graduate from James Madison University (B.A. Political Science).

Chris Morrisette

Chief Architect

Chris Morrisette, Secret Agent

Chris is Canvas's Chief Architect, ultimately guiding the development of our unique web based environment. Prior to Canvas, Chris held lead developer and architect positions with a number of leading software and consulting firms developing solutions on dozens of platforms and languages. Chris was CTO of Zua Scene when his company partnered with VeriSign to develop what would ultimately become the Motorola Wireless Solution of the Year. Chris has also held developer roles at several other consulting and enterprise firms including Enterbridge Technologies, Aspen Healthcare Metrics, Ironworks Consulting and Circuit City.

Chris is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (B.S. Computer Science).

Brent Nieder

Technical Designer

Brent Neider

Brent is Canvas's Technical Designer, responsible for creating the custom WYSIWYGs as well as assisting in development of the look and feel of Canvas. Prior to Canvas, Brent worked as the Lead Artist for Whalesong Games. He has also created motion graphics and animation for companies such as Brazen Careerist, Local Up Solutions, and Ringio.

Brent is a graduate of George Mason University (B.A. Art and Visual Technology).

Kalliopi Vlastos

Kalliopi Vlastos

Kalliopi is Canvas's Mobile App Representative responsible for working with current and trial subscribers to get the most out of the Canvas experience. Kalliopi most recently was an Advocacy Intern at the Premier healthcare alliance in Washington, DC.  Prior to that Kalliopi has interned and worked with PPG Industries, Artisphere, MKTG US Concepts and the Fox Speed Channel.  

Kalliopi is a Cum Laude graduate of Furman University (B.S. in Communications/Philosophy).

 

Matt Warner

Chief Mobile Architect

Matt Warner

Matt is Canvas's Chief Mobile Architect responsible for the design and development of Canvas on the various mobile platforms supported by the Canvas offering. Prior to Canvas, Matt was the lead architect for inCode Wireless's (a VeriSign Company) Enterprise Mobility Division. In this role, Matt and his team authored a unique mobility offering that ultimately won the 2007 Motorola Wireless Solution of the Year Award. Matt has also held software development and leadership roles at a number of mobile and wireless ventures including Peak Technologies, NEXIQ, and groups supporting Rockwell. Matt is personally fluent in a multitude of programming languages and operating systems and he and his software development teams have been involved in the deployment of ten's of thousands of mobile end users.

Matt is a graduate of Loras College (B.S. Mathmatics, B.S. Computer Science).

Mark Angelino

Mr. Angelino is the SVP of Global Distribution for Hewlett Packard. He is responsible for the HP strategy and execution within Systems Integrators, Outsourcers, Advisory Firms and Network Service Providers.  Prior to HP, Mark was an Executive Vice President at SalesForce.com where he was responsible for the adoption of Salesforce's sales, call center and platform services in North America. Prior to Salesforce.com,  Mark was most notably President of Sales & Distribution for Sprint Nextel. While in this position he managed the company's varied distribution channels including direct sales, over 1400 retail and national retail locations and stores, indirect dealers, telesales and web sales in all managing over 20,000 points of distribution. Prior to that assignment, Mark was President of Sprint Business, a $16 billion wireless and wireline international carrier. While in this position, Mark also directed several Sprint Nextel business units including alliances, prepaid Boost Mobile, the international wireline activities and their wholesale businesses. Prior to participating in the merger between Sprint and Nextel, Mark held several key positions at Nextel including directing all of Nextel's Enterprise sales activities and Nextel's Distribution channels.    Prior to Sprint/Nextel, Mark spent 22 years at IBM holding leadership positions in finance, marketing and sales management.

Mark has won the coveted American Business Award for Top Sales Executive and holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Colgate University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

 

Matt Tabrizi

Founder and President of Management Simple, Matt is a seasoned professional with twenty years of experience in management. Matt started working as Fractional Manager™ in 2005 before formalizing the concept into Management Simple™. During this period, he has served as COO of Autana Capital and Managing Director of AppSimple. Prior to these positions, Matt was responsible for the operations as well as the acting CIO for ePlus Technology (NASDAQ: plus, served as the President of Prosperity Financials, President of InfoAge, and VP of Operations of ICN. He is experienced and specialized in start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain management, application development, and companies restructuring for rapid expansion.
